The Players

Present

Tyr (my husband) - He started playing back around 2000 in 3rd ed. then moved to 3.5 for most of his playing career up until we switched over to 5e.  He plays a variety of PCs but generally, you can count on him to play someone who will be on the front line.  I'd say he takes D&D very seriously, but he does so in a way that still allows him to have a lot of fun while playing.

Note - I have not given our new players nicknames yet.  Their bios will be coming soon.

Omar - Omar has been playing D&D since the dawn of D&D and he is more than happy to tell you how they did it back in AD&D, his favorite edition. He has a penchant for playing female characters and generally favors creating characters who stay in the background (nothing wrong with that), though on occasion he has played a frontline character or two.  Omar has played with our group on and off through December of 2016 and while we would invite him to play in our current game, his work schedule would not allow him to do so at this time.

Hal - He is Omar's cousin and has been playing almost if not as long as Omar.  Hal played with our group from the beginning through December 2016.  There really is no rhyme or reason to what kinds of PCs Hal plays, even if he's playing a character that you would think or expect to be frontline he's somewhere in the crowd or crouching behind a wall.  It's just the way he plays. I still talk to Hal all of the time but he has his own stuff going on so it's not likely you'll see him again anytime soon.

Dumb Dwarf - Was brand spanking new to D&D and was dating a girl who hated it.  If my memory serves I think he started playing with our group around the end of 2014, but his girlfriend always came with him to sessions and made it clear she didn't like D&D and she thought we were all stupid for playing it.  He only played one character, a very dumb dwarf (hence the name), and he only played for a few months.

Carter (my brother) -  Carter started playing D&D a little while after Tyr and started in 3.5.  He favors assassins and rangers for his PCs and he started playing with our group in early 2015 if memory serves.Though you might expect that his PCs should stay more in the background his characters are very much involved in the forefront of things.  When we finished the nearly year-long campaign that he was in we intended to take a break for a bit and then pick back up but by the time we did pick back up Carter and I had a falling out over some family drama where we found ourselves on opposite sides of the fence.
